What does the word "lady" mean to you?

I’ve been talking with my friends lately…

The word ‘lady’ or ‘ladylike’ has such a weird connotation, doesn’t it?

And then again, sometimes so does the word ‘feminist’ -

But, why can’t the word lady also serve the same meaning as a woman who is a feminist?

Why does the word ‘lady’ has such a soft connotation to it at times?

And then why does the word feminist have such a negative connotation to it at times?

Why is one usually always accepted and not the other?

What does the word ‘lady’ mean to you?

Realllllllllllllllllllllllly think about it…

What do you first visualize when you’re first asked to think about what a feminist looks like to you?

Now do the same thing for the word, lady…

What does this woman look/act like…

…compliant?

strong?

beautiful?

smart?

well-mannered?

brave?

bold?

young? old?

And then what does that even mean?

Are those words describing a feminist or a lady - or of both?

How can you possibly choose what category to put her in?

Interesting thought, huh?

What do you think I am?

What do you think your mom is?

What do you think your sister is?
